The People
The NUS Symphony Orchestra is a member of the NUS Centre For the Arts (CFA), which manages and nurtures 23 performing arts groups within the National University of Singapore. In addition to managing its performances and external gigs, the CFA also oversees the orchestra’s daily operations.
Each year, active NUSSO members would elect an Executive Committee of undergraduates to deal with the orchestra’s administration. The orchestra’s section leaders and principal players, who are also chosen annually, also work closely with our conductors and tutors to manage the musicality of individual sections within the orchestra.
