CFA House Party 2010

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the freshies who have signed up with us over the last couple of days during the NUS Matriculation Fair. Please note that if you are interested in joining the NUS Symphony Orchestra and did not sign up at our booth during the Matriculation Fair, you are still welcome to sign up with us using our online audition form.

In the meantime, we would like to invite you to come down for the Music Showcase at the CFA House Party. Members of our orchestra will be performing Singaporean composer Kelly Tang’s Sketches of Singapore, an orchestral work that incorporates themes from familiar local tunes in an exciting and colourful medley in celebration of Singapore’s National Day.

Matriculation Fair Decoration

Yesterday, members of the NUSSO exco had an absolutely wonderful time decorating and setting up our booth in preparation for this year’s NUS matriculation fair. The NUS matriculation fair will take place on 22nd, 23rd, 26th and 27th July, and we hope to recruit as many freshmen as we can into our NUSSO family.

On 26th June 2010, NUSSO members went for an outing at Marina Barrage for an afternoon of fun, food and kite flying, followed by dinner and ice-cream at Marina Square!

Natasha Liu performs Rococo Variations with NUSSO

The NUS Symphony Orchestra performs Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33 for Cello and Orchestra at the Victoria Concert Hall, 19th March 2010, with soloist Natasha Liu. NUS Matriculation Fair 2010

NUS Matriculation Fair 2010If you are interested in joining the NUS Symphony Orchestra or know somebody who does, please take note! We will be setting up a booth at the NUS Matriculation Fair on the 22nd, 23rd, 26th and 27th of July as part of our annual recruitment drive. We’ll be giving out flyers and souvenirs at our booth so that you can find out more about us! In addition, you can also view clips of our past concerts, look through our programme booklets and sign up for an audition slot. Also, we’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding NUSSO at our booth. So see you there!

Greetings from NUSSO! Welcome to the new, updated version of the official NUS Symphony Orchestra website. This new website marks the migration of our website content from Drupal to WordPress 3.0. We hope that this will allow us to deliver content to you quickly and efficiently, and ensure that the content on this website remains relevant and up-to-date.
